I have been nominated for a few awards all at once. I appreciate each and every one, and it is an honor to accept them. The awards I have been nominated for are the following:
Reader Appreciation Award by Bob Othman (fresh voice, great life lessons, unique and witty perspectives). You can visit him at http://othmanabdullah.wordpress.com.
The Versatile Blogger Award by Jae Lei Nyght. (Her writing has a calming and soothing effect on me. Magical.) Visit her blog at http://jaeleinyght.wordpress.com.
The Very Inspiring Blogger Award by Tim (heartfelt poetry, wonderful spirit, and always inspiring; Tim makes me want to write poetry :-)). Check out his blog at http://timzauto.wordpress.com.
A big thank you!! I appreciate all their support, marvelous comments, and encouragement. Thanks for thinking about me.
For the fellowship of the blogosphere, I think these awards are a great thing. In accepting these awards, I have an opportunity to recognize fellow bloggers who have had an impact on me. I hope you don’t mind the one-fell-swoop approach.
I was a little hesitant to jump on the blogging bandwagon, assuming it would be superficial like other social media experiences I had encountered. I was pleasantly mistaken to learn that here in the blogging community people are genuine, and committed to creating and sharing. It feels great to be able to put yourself out there and be readily accepted with kindness. Thanks to all who have read my posts and supported me.
Generally, to accept any of these awards, the rules are the following:
- Thank the blogger who gave it to you and include a link to their blog. (done above)
- Mention 7 random things about yourself. In the case of the Reader Appreciation Award, answer a list of questions. You decide what’s best.
- List the rules
- Give the award to 15 or more bloggers. (I will condense this a little here)
- Add the award to your blog. (They are pretty)
What is my favorite color? Blue, always blue.
What is my favorite animal? Kitty cats.
What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink? Freshly-squeezed lemonade.
What do you prefer Twitter or Facebook? Don’t do much tweeting. Facebook…lukewarm.
What is your favorite pattern? I don’t know. I favor solids.
Would you rather receive or give presents? I like giving. I really do.
Favorite number? I always like 7, or 29 my eternal age.
Favorite day? Saturday.
